Cooking Ideas
A perfect addition for many vegetarian meals & / or serve with meat, chicken or fish. Serve by itself, or in a salad. Add shiitake mushrooms to stir-fry by adding red & green peppers, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice & garlic with olive oil in a pan. Add salt & pepper & serve with pita or rice pilaf.
Or add stir-fry dish with chicken or beef. Mushrooms can be served on the side with grilled salmon.
To add in soups, dried shiitake can be soaked in hot water & the liquid can be used for a bullion for the soup.
Try adding shiitake mushrooms in risotto or penne with a cream brandy sauce.
